Velo Kids at Heart (adults!)
What - Free mountain bike class with Coach Josh Watson, teaching adults how to ride trails and keep up with their Velo Kids. Choose 1 of the 2 sessions, or come to both!
1st Session - May 17th from 6-7:00PM at Pigeon Creek. We will work on cadence, shifting and effective braking.
UPDATE - 2nd Session - June 4th from 2-3:00PM at Riley Trails. We will work on 'ready position' and some bike and body separation skills for beginner riders.
What to bring - Helmet, functioning mountain bike and water bottle. Need a bike? Send a note to hello@velo-kids.org and we gotcha covered. **UPDATE** bikes are all booked up for the May 17 class.
KIDCYCLE
What - An event for kids who are learning to ride a 2 wheel bicycle & kids who have just learned to ride a bicycle. Teaching bike safety, bike skills, while encouraging fun and healthy movement.
Where - Holland Civic Center
When - Saturday, May 20, 10AM - 12PM
Who - Kids Age 2 - 6 +
Cost - $Free
Tulip City Kids Triathlon
What - A triathlon just for the kids! Kids aged 8-13 will swim, bike, and run starting at the Bouws Pool and finishing at the Hope Track. No bike, no worries, the Bike Library will be onsite!
Where - Smallenburg Park - Holland
When - Saturday, July 29th
Who - Everyone, but the race is just for the kids!
